It is not just the Acer Chromebook C738T (CB5-132T) the device certificate by the engineers of the FCC, as its WLAN-Bluetooth combo module Intel 7265NGW. The documents of the institution, however, allow us to discover something more of the new convertible notebook with Chrome OS for Acer, but also confirm the existence and the upcoming launch. Considering, in fact, the transition from FCC we expect a presentation imminent, perhaps at IFA 2015 in Berlin and in time for Christmas shopping.
C738T Acer Chromebook will also be available under the symbol CB5-132T Acer Chromebook, but at the moment we do not know if the two variants (exactly alike) will be allocated to different markets or sectors as diverse as consumer and education. FCC indicates the Chromebook as “Tablet Computer”, revealing his nature convertible to 360 degrees, and does not provide many details on its technical configuration if not the presence of a 802.11ac WiFi module and Bluetooth 4.1.
But if the rumors are confirmed, Acer Chromebook C738T (CB5-132T) will be one of the first models on the market with an SoC Intel Celeron 1.6GHz N3150 (and up to 2.8 GHz) Braswell, 4GB of RAM, 16GB of eMMC, camera 720p and 11.6-inch IPS display with HD resolution (1366 x 768 pixels). In the thickness of 19.2 mm and weighing approximately 1.4Kg, Acer has integrated a HDMI, a slot for SD cards, a USB 3.0 and a USB 2.0, as well as a 3-cell battery for an autonomy of 9 hours. Aboard obviously Chrome OS.
