The debut was in the air for some weeks, or better since Nvidia has released the next generation of mobile GPU GeForce GTX 10, but Dell has decided to wait for the IFA 2016 in Berlin. The American company is not present at the fair but, taking advantage of the media attention, professionals and enthusiasts in the industry, has announced the update of the Alienware 13, 15 and 17 in this period.
As you will understand, the full range of notebook “aliens” will adopt the latest generation of Nvidia graphics cards and in particular: a GeForce 1060 GTX for Alienware 13, a GeForce GTX 1070/1060 for Alienware 15 and a GeForce 1080 GTX for Alienware 17 . Basically everyone can now support devices for virtual reality, as Oculus Rift or HTC Vive, be connected (optionally) the new Alienware graphics Amplifier to harness the power of a graphics card for desktop and configured with Intel Core i7 “processors overclocked “, up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB of disk space.

Dell has adjusted a bit ‘design and also the colors are more vivid facts: the anodized aluminum chassis now has a more internal hinge to facilitate the thermal dissipation, the base is of black color while the cover is remained silver, with details fuchsia (logo, profiles, touchpad and backlight). They have also been put on a diet with thinner thicknesses of 25% (424 x 332 x 30 mm for the 17 “and 388 x 304 x 25 mm for the 15”) and a few grams less.
Alienware 13 is the baby of the family, but also the only one equipped with a screen “spectacular”: Dell confirmed it will (on demand) an OLED 13.3-inch display with qHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels), contrast ratio of 10000: 1 , high color saturation, response time of 1ms. But we know nothing, except that it will arrive in the US for November at a price of $ 899.99 departure.
Alienware 15:17 are expected on the market by the end of the month, respectively, to $ 1199.99 and $ 1499.99. Dell will offer models with processors (up to) Intel Core i7-6820HK that overclocking reaches 4.1 GHz, and more options for graphics including the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, 1070 GTX and 1080 GTX or even a new AMD Radeon RX 470. The entry-level models will be equipped with 8GB of RAM to 2133MHz DDR4 (support up to 32GB), and PCIe SSD SATA storage up to 3TB total. Almost all interfaces are now concentrated on the back, where we now find USB 3.1 Type-C, HDMI, Mini DisplayPort, Gigabit Ethernet, and power connector. All will have backlit keyboards RGB, with 2.2 mm key travel, among other things also made of reinforced steel, TactX with N-Key rollover anti-ghosting.

A novelty rather pleasing is the integration of eye tracking system Tobii, which may assist you to come out the notebook from standby, search for files, lock it when you leave and control some functions of the game with his eyes. The handsets have a display 15.6 and 17.3-inch IPS Full HD or UHD IGZO to 120 Hz 300 cd / m2, with support for Nvidia G-Sync. Alienware 15 will come with battery of 68 Wh or 99 Wh, but we have no information on those for the Alienware 17.
At the moment we have no details on availability and prices of the new Alienware 13, 15 and 17 in Italy, but we will not have to wait long.
