Asus has unveiled a new version of video card family GeForce 1070 GTX, which joins to the high reference models and custom made available on the market to date. We talk about the 1070 GTX Dual model, indicated by the product code inside DUAL-GTX1070-O8G.
The card features a dual-fan cooling system, but does not belong to the DirectCU II family used for other variation of card based on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070. According to data provided by Asus This cooling system allows for up to 105% more air pressure on the radiator, proving to be quieter than the reference design NVIDIA. The surface finish is white, to invoke the same style used for some versions of Asus motherboards.
The cooling system allows for a slight overclocking of the GPU series: the base clock frequency is 1,582 MHz while the boost reaches 1,771 MHz, against values equal to 1,506 MHz and 1,683 MHz, respectively, for the Founders Edition developed by NVIDIA.
Nothing changes from the video memory slope: we find 8 Gbytes of GDDR5 memory with effective clock rate of 8 Gbps. Power is supplied by a single 8-pin connector, such as NVIDIA’s reference specifications, while the video connection panel includes Dual Link DVI ports, HDMI 2.0b and 3 ports Display Port 1.4
