The family of hybrid ASUS Transformer Book T100 is among the most popular in circulation, because it manages to combine in its compact models, satisfactory performance and a great price. The basic configurations costing 399 Euros, although in the latter period is not hard to find even at half the price. And there’s a reason: Asus is preparing to launch an updated version of the Transformer Book T100, the largest refresh for almost two years, that is from the debut of the series.
The Taiwanese company has introduced the Transformer Book T100HA, with Intel Atom x5 (Cherry Trail) and USB Type-C, last June at Computex 2015, and these days was the terminus for the first European online shop. Amazon France, for example, has already entered the tablet list from 299 euro, but it is a pre-order not rule out future “small” changes (downward) price. All in all however, the cost is in line with the products of its category and more consistent than 259 Euros required for the CloudBook Acer (compared to $ 189 in the US market).
ASUS Transformer Book T100HA has a 10-inch HD (1280 x 800 pixels), Intel Atom x5-z8500 (Cherry Trail), micro USB, USB 2.0 full-size USB Type-C, Micro HDMI, stereo speakers, camera 5-megapixel (rear) and 2-megapixel (front), microSDXC card reader, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and 30 Wh battery, which should provide up to 12 hours of video playback. The entry-level model (T100HA-FU002T) has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, but are also available SKU with 4GB of RAM and 64GB (T100HA FU006T) or 128GB of internal space (T100HA-FU030T). On board, always pre-installed Windows 10 Home.
Shipments of ASUS T100HA seem planned for mid-September, so it is logical to think that Asus will use the IFA 2015 in Berlin as a launching pad for its new European hybrid.
