ASUS ZenPad for Business 7.0

It was last February when ASUS, perhaps by mistake, he published a promotional video of a new and mysterious series of tablet called ASUS zenPad M. At the time we did not know much of the two models of 7 and 10 inches if you do not – and that we had intuition – which represented the municipalities zenPad with software dedicated to managing mobile devices already installed. It was ASUS ADAM, which stands for Device Admin for Mobile, a set of APIs that allows you to have complete control on tablets and on all devices linked.

From today, ASUS zenPad for Business 7.0 (M700K) and 10 (M1000C) are officers at least in the Asian market, where it will be on sale by the end of June, respectively 190 € and 250 € to change. We have seen them in the preview at Computex 2016, in the rich stand of Taiwan, and we can show them live with their full specification.
No new tablet, indeed. ASUS zenPad for Business 7.0 (M700K) and 10 (M1000C) are based on zenPad 7.0 and zenPad 10 with Intel Atom chip (SoFIA), the same as this year at the fair in Taipei, the company has decided to replace with patterns SoC MediaTek. From the hardware point of view so there are no big news: ASUS M700K integrates a 7-inch HD display (1280 x 800 pixels), SoC Snapdragon 210 1.2GHz or Intel Atom x3-C3200, 2GB / 16GB, while ASUS M1000C has a 10.1-inch HD display (1280 x 800 pixels) and Intel Atom X3-C3200 or Intel Atom Z3560, 2GB / 16GB. Only the smallest model will be declined in a WiFi-only version and LTE, because the other will only be available with WiFi module, but both can have white color or black.

The real difference with the classic series of zenPad lies in the software: the ASUS zenPad for Business come with a stock version of Android, virtually clean and free of ZenUI, and the application ASUS ADAM that will help system integrators and software houses to change the software in a simple and fast, while reducing costs and development time. You can for example use the ASUS zenPad M to create applications “point of sales” thanks to a special “kiosk mode” mode that locks the device on a specific application to prevent users from accessing other resources of the machine. ASUS ADAM also allows remote administration of the tablet zenPad M. A technician or ICT managers can easily send software updates throughout the fleet, by preceding them with a message for users. You can take photos remotely, delete data installed on a device, or other operations useful in case of theft or loss of the tablet.
