BenQ announced the portable projector LED GS1. This new product comes with very compact dimensions: the measurements are 146 x 139.2 x 46.5 / 65.7 mm (with or without battery). The technology used is DLP with an HD-Ready resolution chip (1280 x 720 pixels). The LED light source provides a brightness of 300 lumens and a duration of between 20,000 and 30,000 hours (depending on the mode used).
The throw ratio is 0.8: 1. In other words, it is possible to project on a screen of 60 “at one meter distance. There are manual adjustment of focus and automatic keystone correction (useful in the case in which not the projector is not perfectly perpendicular to the screen).
GS1 is also equipped with various multimedia functions. There are an SD Card slot, two USB ports (one 3.0 and one 2.0), Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi dual-band connectivity. Through an application for iOS and Android devices you can share the screen directly on the projector. The integrated media player supports the following formats:

The supplied battery lets you use the projector for about 3 hours. an enclosure is also provided to protect the projector (from bumps and splashes). Connectivity includes an HDMI input compatible with MHL, a VGA / component input, one composite input (via adapter, complete with stereo audio input to RCA), an input and an audio output of 3.5 mm jack.
The release is scheduled for August with a list price tentatively set at 700 Euros.
