Chuwi Vi10 is one of the Bay Trail tablet with dual operating system more popular. It is a 10.6-inch combined with a keyboard dock that hints at Surface, managed by an Atom Z3736F and with the usual allocation of 2 GB / 32 GB RAM and eMMC. Its key feature is, however, another: have 2 USB ports on the standard size, combined with a microSD reader and a microHDMI.
Chuwi now seems to have ready the launch of an updated edition with Intel Cherry Trail. The new Vi10, should have an X5 Atom Z8700 with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of eMMC, on a frame and with a display identical to the model of today (1366 x 768 pixels) and system Windows 10.
The new Chuwi should use the same “base” Intel Teclast X98 Pro, the other Cherry Trail next generation. Between the two there would be differences in the diagonal and resolution of the screen, but even by 8000 mAh battery and an allocation of wireless connectivity including WiFi N Dual Band and BT 4.0.
Chuwi has just brought to market a version of its Atom X3 7 inches VI7, an Android tablet with 3G Lollipop screen 1024 x 600 pixels and 1 GB of RAM sold for less than $ 60 on the international market. The arrival of the new models are also driving down the price of the old Bay Trail: the same with Vi10 Dual Boot, is now just over $ 130.
To close, let’s remember that upgrades are planned for the tablet of the top-brand: Lenovo has announced the ThinkPad 10, but we expect news from all the best known brands. When? Probably in the next two weeks during IFA 2015.
