Cougar has announced the release of the update of its mechanical keyboard Attack X3, keyboard that was originally released in December last year and now the manufacturer updates adding multicolored RGB lighting. In addition, from now on it will offer original Cherry MX mechanisms in its variants Black, Red, Blue and Brown.
The Cougar Attack X3 RGB has basically the same characteristics as the original model, and except RGB lighting and the possibility to choose the type of mechanism, the only thing they have added has been a silver aluminum plate on the upper side to increase the Effect of the illumination, as well as to give the keyboard a greater robustness.
Otherwise, it offers anti-ghosting capability N-Key Rollover electronically, giving the user the ability to simultaneously press as many keys as they want and to register each and every one of them. Of course it has a response time of 1 ms thanks to its polling rate of 1000 Hz, and it is capable of storing up to three sets of macros in its internal memory.
Cougar has taken advantage of the situation to also update its UIX software, which allows to create and store the mentioned macros and also create RGB lighting profiles of the keys that, by the way, allow individual configuration both in their lighting and in what they do to the To be pressed.
Unfortunately the manufacturer has not yet announced the launch date or the price, but given the precedents is quite likely not too expensive for the category of mechanical keyboards with RGB lighting, with the addition of which counts as before with Cherry MX, something that usually increases the price a little, so it should be quite attractive.
