Beware graphic designers, engineers, and video producers: Dell provides new equipment options for its mobile workstation Precision M3800 in 15.6 inch format. In addition to other storage options, with which the internal storage capacity can screw up on up to 2 TB, there are other highlights.
Stands while the 15.6-inch UltraSharp touch display with Gorilla Glass NBT Corning particularly striking. The based on IGZO technology from Sharp Super Panel has a whopping 4K Ultra HD display resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. According to Dell, the sharp Ultra HD display offers sharp and saturated colors and high luminance. With more than 8 million pixels, the 4K panel shows more than 3.4 million pixels more than the retina display of Apple MacBook Pro in 15-inch format.
The workstation Precision M3800 now also provides a Thunderbolt-2 port available, which will allow users transfer speeds of up to 20 Gbit / s. With Intel’s Thunderbolt 2 can be according to Dell, for example Ultra-HD video (formerly 4K) view and edit RAW format, while there is a simultaneous backup of the same file. At the same time high-resolution displays and high-performance disk through a single, compact interface are supported.

In the current Precision M3800 a Thunderbolt interface is available. The previous generation had left two USB ports, the current has taken of a USB port a Thunderbolt port (see picture – the connection is the “3”). He also replaced the Mini DisplayPort port, as this is part of Thunderbolt.
