After the official announcement yesterday by Apple, on the production stop of the Thunderbolt display, many have wondered if the decision was taken on the final form or in the air there is the arrival of a new product.
According to John Paczkowski of BuzzFeed, the fate of the Thunderbolt display is by no means come to an end, as reported in his recent tweet.

Thunderbolt Display takes dirt nap as expected. Sources telling me next-gen displays will indeed have integrated GPU https://twitter.com/Techmeme/status/746123516425101312 …

Again we are talking about the possible arrival of a new generation with integrated GPU, able to work on almost all Macs independently, without needing to take advantage of the graphics card of the connected machine.
It is also believed that there will be an upgrade to the 5K resolution, Thunderbolt support 3-C and USB connectivity. No information on the timing, nor on the sources of the news, then it is reasonable to assume that the fall may be the most likely period for the presentation, perhaps alongside a revamped MacBook Pro range.
