Fujifilm has announced three new cameras at an event in Tokyo. These are the two new camera system X-Pro2 and X-E2S, plus the new advanced compact X70. The new Fujifilm X-Pro2 comes to occupy the site of the X-Pro1, maintaining the classic design but provide important improvements such as the new 24-megapixel sensor, the X-Processor Pro processor or improved focusing system, now with 77 points Focus 49 against the previous model. Meanwhile, the X-E2S provides an update of the X-E2, adding improvements in ergonomics and how automatic focus primarily, but maintaining the 16 megapixel sensor that until now have been equipped cameras series X. As for the X70, Fujifilm offers us with this camera a new concept in his catalog, combining a compact body and sets equivalent to 28 mm with the same APS-C sensor size that equips the X-E2S a lens. Their prices are 1,800 and 700 euros for the X-Pro2 and X-E2S respectively (body only) and 700 euros for the new X70.
Among other new features, the Fujifilm X-Pro2 is responsible for brand new sensor X-Trans CMOS III APS-C of 24 megapixels, significantly improving the 16 megapixels offered so far the chambers of the X series, including those held X T1 -T10 and X-SLR style. Other important improvements are the new autofocus system that increases the number of detection points from the previous model to 49 77. The new X-Processor Pro processor allows better image processing and speed burst of up to eight frames per second. Apart from the fixed LCD screen three inches and 1,040,000 dot resolution, the X-Pro2 equipped with a hybrid display that combines an optical system with an electronic viewfinder with a resolution of 2.36 million dots. In the video section, Fujifilm has decided not to follow the fashion of the 4K and maintain full HD resolution, making it clear that this section is not the most important user of these cameras. In terms of design, it is maintaining the classic look of Leica inspiration from its predecessors, offering a sealed yes and dust resistant body and splashes, as befits a top model.
The new X-E2S means as we said a slight upgrade from the current X-E2, a compact interchangeable lens camera midrange. The improvements come here to the chapter on ergonomics, with a design that makes it easier to handle thanks to a new handle. Another section that has changed is the approach, which now includes a new mode that extends the 49 detection points to 77 standard system thanks to the Zone and Wide / Tracking functions. All other specifications remain unchanged, offering the same CMOS sensor APS-C size 16 megapixel EXR Processor II processor, LCD sets three inches and 1,040,000 dot resolution and viewfinder.
Finally, the X70 offers a sensor with the same size as that of their older sisters, in fact the same as the X-E2S in a very compact body size. It is a compact camera for advanced users and especially photography enthusiasts as it is equipped with a Fujinon fixed lens with a focal equivalent to 28 mm to force users to physically move to adjust the frame. Moreover, to compensate for lack of the X70 viewer is privileged to release a three-inch LCD screen and resolution 1.040k swing 180 degrees, the first of its kind in reaching a series camera X.
