We had already noticed the “strange movements” on the site of Gigabyte, discovering some new models of Mini PC BRIX with Broadwell and Braswell, but today it adds yet another. The peculiarity of Gigabyte GB-BRIX BACE3000 is its processor, a dual-core Intel Celeron N3000 (Braswell) by just 4 watts, which allowed the company to build a Taiwanese computer fanless. Inside the case, in fact, there is no fan, and the heat produced is removed with a passive cooling system, through some ventilation grilles. The result is a Mini PC is not powerful, but at least quiet, especially if you choose a solid state disk rather than a mechanical hard drive.
The technical BRIX Gigabyte GB-BACE3000, appeared on the official website, confirming the specifications and design of the base. The computer measures 56 x 107 x 114 mm, supports a 2.5-inch disk, and up to 8GB of RAM DDR3L-1600, and integrates a dual-band 802.11ac WiFi module, Bluetooth 4.0 and Gigabit Ethernet. It also has VGA and HDMI ports to connect up to two external displays, audio jack and four USB 3.0 ports, plus a microSD card slot for expanding the storage needed. Obviously like all Mini PC of its size, this Gigabyte BRIX has a VESA to be still hidden behind
Gigabyte has not yet defined prices and availability with the new BRIX Braswell, but an older model “in the formula barebones” Intel Celeron N2807 (Bay Trail) and WiFi 802.11n is priced at about $ 130. According Fanless Tech will not exceed $ 125 and probably also in Europe will be proposed at the same price.
