In recent years, the education sector has taken off and someone has become an important turnover, significant for the purposes of annual revenue. Students and teachers looking laptops with a technical configuration unpretentious, but can withstand (at least) for a full day of school and with learning software. And manufacturers have responded: there are those who transform their consumer notebook platforms in the study through the installation of ad hoc applications and who, more careful, it also designs a chassis semi-rugged resistant to life in the classroom.
And ‘that’s the case of HP, at a London fair dedicated to the sector, has launched two new notebook EE (Education Edition) over the Chromebook 11 G4 EE. Let’s talk about the HP ProBook 11 G2 Education Edition and HP x360 310 G2 PC Education Edition, nothing but variants “school” notebook ProBook 11 G2 and the convertible HP x360 310 G2 already hit the market a few months ago. So it is not unheard of machines, but “revisited” with a more careful eye to students.
We had the existence of ProBook 11 G2 Education Edition a year ago, but the American company has been waiting 12 months for its official launch. It has a chassis rubber anti-shock and a hardware platform to a certain level, based on an Intel Core i3-6100U, with (up to) 8GB of RAM and various solutions (and cuts) for storage according to the SKU . E ‘equipped with a 11.6-inch HD display (1366 x 768 pixels), optionally also touch, and boasts 18 hours of battery life per charge. Obviously on board, there is Windows 10.
Even HP x360 310 G2 PC Education Edition is not new and, as the consumer model, adopting a concept convertible with a hinge that can rotate the display 360 degrees. Compared with the previous, its data sheet is less powerful: Intel Celeron or Pentium (Braswell), Windows 10 and up to 256GB of SSD storage.
HP Pre-install its solution in two notebooks School Pack 2.0, a suite that includes applications and learning tools, device management and monitoring of students during study hours. HP ProBook 11 EE G2 will be available in EMEA at the price of EUR 349 from February, while HP x360 310 G2 EE arrive in March to the base price of 319 Euros.
