HP Spectre x360 is a convertible notebook with 13-inch touch screen and a hinge that allows you to also use it in tablet mode (as well as stand and tent). After the update of its Envy 13, the American company has decided to “refresh” also hardware equipment of this ultraportable with a faster processor, a more compact design and a range greater than last year’s model.
At the moment we have no information yet on the availability and price for the European market (including Italian), but for now all you need to know that HP Spectre x360 is already on sale in the US at the HP official store at the starting price of $ 1,049 . The convertible will then be available on Best Buy shelves exclusively from 30 October.
What changes are there? HP has reduced the thickness of Spectre 13 x360 about 2 mm, has restricted the frames around the screen and lighter weight of about 150 grams. According to reports from HP, the notebook also has a stronger hinge that helps keep the screen in place, when you use your device in various modes, and a better position of the speakers (two facing each other and two to the bass). E ‘was also added an infrared camera, with support for Windows Hello (facial recognition to log in) and a wide-angle camera with wider viewing space by 12%.
HP Spectre x360 (2016) has obviously been updated with new Intel Core i5 / i7 “Kaby Lake”, up to 16GB of RAM and PCIe solid state storage with options for 256GB, 512GB and 1TB depending on the SKU. The 13.3-inch IPS display will have full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), while connectivity can count on two USB Type-C / 3 Thunderbolt and USB 3.0. The chassis, which measures 304 x 218 x 13.7 mm and weighs 1.2Kg, integrates a 57.8 Wh battery that should provide a maximum range of 15 hours and support the rapid charging (90% in 90 minutes).
