The new generation of Next Unit of Computing, or more briefly NUC, the popular range of ultra-compact mini-PC from Intel, we already know a lot. There are as usual two variants, one which provides only for the motherboard, which can be inserted in Custom frames or also used in industrial field, and the kit, a kind of barebones that includes the unmistakable square frame with sides of 10cm and that now also it supports a system of interchangeable covers and extensions through special connectors.

But obviously the list is bound to grow because of Fanlesstech colleagues have found a teaser that makes us guess that there is still some piece of the puzzle. Is the logo of a stylized skull remember a circuit and the code name Intel Skull Canyon, presented as the NUC more powerful than ever.

The reference to the performance would include the ability of 3D graphics processing because it is believed that the strength of the new Intel Skull Canyon will be an integrated GPU flagship Intel Iris Pro 580 with 72 EU, 128MB of eDRAM cache and a computational power of 1152 GFLOPS at 1GHz. For a comparison, the NUC Swift Canyon with Intel Graphics Iris 540 have execution unit 48 and are able to perform 806.4 GFLOPS at a frequency of 1.05GHz.
