This is the new Lenovo Air Pro 13 that terribly recalls for technical specifications and design the Lenovo IdeaPad 710S, a notebook we saw at CES 2016 in Las Vegas and we have also tried live. In fact, Lenovo Air Pro 13 is the answer “immediately” to the brand new Chinese company Xiaomi Mi Air Notebook 13.3, so that the ads are shot in a few hours away from each other. In practice, in a few weeks, Asians users looking for a notebook similar to the MacBook Air from Apple but cheaper, they will be spoiled for choice.
Lenovo Air Pro 13
Always built with an aluminum unibody chassis, Lenovo Air Pro 13 comes with a 13.3-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), Intel Core i5-6200U processor (Skylake), 4GB of RAM and 256GB of storage SSD disk. Optional there will also be other configurations with Intel Core i7 processors and more RAM. On board, you installed a dedicated Nvidia GeForce 940MX graphics card with 2GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory and a battery that should ensure a full day of battery life (so about 8-9 hours), maybe more of Xiaomi notebook since it is of a 46Wh version. Even the weight and thickness are identical: Lenovo 13 Air Pro measures 14.8 mm profile and weighs 1,290 grams. Obviously it runs on Windows 10.
As for the interfaces: Lenovo Air Pro 13 has a USB 2.0 port, one USB 3.0 and one USB Type-C, which will be useful for connecting external monitors and displays mainly because it lacks the HDMI connector, a microSD card reader and jack audio. There is also a fingerprint, and this is a feature more than in I Notebook Air.

Essentially, Lenovo Air Pro 13 is an updated version dell’IdeaPad 710S not so much in the hardware platform, which is almost unchanged, since in some aesthetic and technical details. Let us be clear: Lenovo has slightly changed the aesthetics of the screen which is now black and before it was matched with the chassis (ie gold), the base is virtually identical in design even if the doors are arranged differently and this makes us guess that the motherboard has been completely redesigned.
Lenovo Air Pro 13 is currently in pre-order at a price of 4999 yuan (about 750 US dollars at the exchange rate), but once you pass in the stock’s price will increase to 5499 yuan (about $ 824). We do not know at the time what the Lenovo plans for Europe, but we do not exclude that the IdeaPad 710S expected in this period in the US may be postponed for a few weeks, arriving on the market in an already updated and precisely based on Lenovo Air 13 Pro. Certainly we will know more at IFA 2016 in Berlin.
