Now there are no more doubts: Lenovo Miix 510 will be presented at the Berlin IFA 2016 and will be released on the market a few days later, as WinFuture has found his tracks in the first European online shops. The product pages confirm the recently leaked specifications, but add some detail still not known, the selling price (and not cheap!) And the first image of the device. That is why today, we return to talk of Lenovo Miix 510.
Just as anticipated, this new hybrid 2-in-1 features an IPS screen 12.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1200 pixels), and support for the keyboard dock to ink with 2048 levels of pressure. It will be available in multiple SKUs with a choice of Intel Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 (Skylake), and not Kaby Lake as we had originally thought, coupled with 4GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 512GB of SSD storage. Each model will also have an 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth module, 39 Wh battery and USB Type-C. Some configurations, the most expensive, will also be equipped with a 4G-LTE modem.
Essentially, Lenovo seems to have designed a new tablet 2-in-1 high-end: will occupy the same market niche Switch Alpha 12, will have the same hardware as the Microsoft Surface but a much lower price. According to what we read in European online shops, Lenovo Miix 510 will sell for about 730 Euros (keyboard and pen included) but the price will vary depending on the variants, without excluding the substantial swings downward due to “premature” presale.
In practice, at the showdown, Lenovo Miix 510 could cost even less, but while maintaining a price of 730 € will be (in the most cost-effective entry-level version of the Surface) Pro 4 with Core m3, which in Italy starts from 1029 Euros. And who needed the cover keyboard must add also 185 €, for a total price of over 1200 €.
