Lenovo Miix 510 is a tablet with 12.2-inch display with Full HD + (1920 x 1200 pixels), integrated kickstand on the back and a starting price of 699 Euros (VAT included), with a Wacom pen and keyboard dock included. We do not know yet whether the company has provided more SKU for this device, but for sure it should peep in Italian stores in a few weeks and a guideline for the middle of October. And considering that the Surface Pro Microsoft coast (in its basic version) 899.99 € with pen but without keyboard (sold separately), it appears clear that the Miix 510 is cheaper at least on paper.

Miix 510 ensures the size and functionality of a tablet but with the convenience and practicality of a complete full-size keyboard for all functions. It will be equipped with (up to) Intel Core i7 Skylake sixth-generation processors, up to 8GB of RAM and 1TB of disk space PCIe solid state. But whatever its configuration, will carry two stereo speakers, a rear 5 megapixel camera and a 2 megapixel front with dual-array microphones. It can be used as a device for presentations, e-book reader or work laptop. Miix 510 has the right versatility to allow the operation for the whole of a day, with battery life up to 7.5 hours, according to reports by the Chinese. The tablet has a Type-C USB port, which can also be used for charging, as well as two USB 3.0 ports and full-size audio jack, Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11ac and LTE (optional) with the slot hidden under the kickstand . It weighs 880 grams (without keyboard) and 1.25 kg (in combo mode).
The keyboard dock instead connects the base of the tablet with strong magnets, which hold firmly the screen by tilting it by a few degrees. Typing is comfortable, ergonomic and well established, thanks to the typical “AccuType” concave keys with a longer stroke and backlight.
Its metallic look impressive at first sight and a closer look reveals traits of exceptional designs: in particular, the exclusive double hinge inspired by the strap of the clocks, with its 280 individual pieces of stainless steel by the elaborate processing, which provides an adjustment 150 ° integrated bracket for maximum ease of use is placed on a table on both knees. The body will be available in two colors: black or silver platinum, much like the gold finish of some producers.
