How it went unnoticed the first time on the occasion of its launch, so for refreshing, the Lenovo N22 Chromebook has not drawn the attention of the media but to the well-informed Brent Sullivan. The Chinese company has preferred to introduce the new model directly on the market, without any special announcements or official presentations, then we discover the existence of an update for the N22 Chromebook sifting through the lists of American online stores, which have already entered the new model (code : 80VH0005US) in their database.
Not a major refresh: Lenovo N22 Chromebook keeps the same chassis, finishes and colors, only enhancing the hardware platform with a new processor and a touch display. The first generation of this Chromebook was based on an Intel Celeron N3050 1.6GHz chip (and up to 2.16GHz), but to upgrade an Intel Celeron was chosen N3060 1.6GHz (up to 2.48GHz), both belonging to the Intel Braswell family. The display has been renewed: it is still a 11.6-inch IPS panel with HD resolution (1366 x 768 pixels), but touch.
Lenovo N22 Chromebook (80VH0005US) integrates 4GB of RAM and 32GB of eMMC memory storage, while the rest of the technical specifications – from the battery interfaces – is virtually identical to the previous generation. The price increases to $ 50, then the higher processor performance and touch screen drives up the selling price to $ 274 in the US market. At the time, the Lenovo N22 Chromebook is not marketed in Europe.
