The Mini PC was launched on the occasion of the Chinese fair, but you can already find some online wholesale shop. It does not have a particularly powerful configuration but, thanks to its simple design and some built-in features, you can replace the living room media center allowing the whole family to watch streaming video in high definition, play music and other digital content easily from the couch with the controller / paired remote, but sold separately. After all, it is a small and compact Mini PC: measuring 153.2 x 153.2 x 32 mm and weighs 390 grams.
Measy T8D will be sold both in a barebones version (without RAM, ROM and OS) versions that are preconfigured. For all we know, the Mini PC will be equipped with a quad-core Intel Celeron J3160 processor (Braswell) 1.6GHz and 400 graphics Intel HD Graphics, 4GB or 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 64GB of disk SSD mSATA storage, with possibility to optionally choose a 2.5-inch SSD solution / HDD (up to 2TB). Even the upgrades and maintenance are not difficult, because the polycarbonate chassis includes a removable door on the bottom that will give free access to internal components.
Connectivity includes WiFi 802.11ac dual-band module (2.4 – 5 GHz) with a visible antenna on the back, Bluetooth 4.0 and Gigabit Ethernet, two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, IR, a VGA and an HDMI 1.4 ( shame!), audio jack and a microSD card slot, and of course the power connector. The Chinese company will Pre-install Windows 10 or Ubuntu Linux, but the Mini PC will also support both OS in dual boot. We wish to emphasize that thanks to the presence of one of the most efficient chips on the market (just 6W TDP), Measy T8D has a fanless design (no fan) that can monitor internal temperatures thanks to two ventilation grates on sides. Measy T8D will soon be on sale in major Chinese online shop at about $ 60, in the configuration with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM on SSD.
