Presented at the last edition of MWV 2016, Helio P20 is the new SoC developed by MediaTek for the midrange, coming during the second half of this year. Until now we have seen a few ads and presumed, but finally, the network begins to move something and the Chinese manufacturer Coolpad, comes a first benchmark far more concrete than mere rumors, revealing the performance of this processor.
At first glance, the specifications could be confused with those of the recent Helio X20 However, Helio P20 does not use architecture to ten core, but relies on a more traditional with eight cores. Coolpad A9S-9 is the model of smartphone reported by GFXBench and as you can see, mount the MT6757 octa-core processor with a frequency up to 2.3 GHz, which corresponds precisely to Helio P20.
The graphics card has grown from a Mali-T860 MP2 700MHz previous Helio P10, to a more powerful Mali-T880 MP2 at 900MHz this Helio P20, a quantum leap not indifferent with regard to the GPU which will run smoothly also greedy games resources.
On paper it would seem, therefore, a good product, we will see what will be the producers who choose this new MediaTek solution, in addition to the many Chinese brands, who have long been exploiting those processors.
