In addition to the launch of its first PC and Stick to refresh the line Mini PC ZBOX Pico with Intel Atom (Cherry Trail), the Chinese company takes advantage of CES 2016 also present an update of its ZBOX C-Series, consisting of computers desktop compact and fanless suitable for all environments (public agencies, libraries and offices) where silence is rigorous, even for a machine to “full capacity”. The Mini PC family of this exploit a passive cooling system to prevent the increase of the internal temperatures and usually come with low-power processors.
The new models ZBOX C (2016) are no exception, although in this last edition Zotac pushes a bit ‘more power on the accelerator. The first Mini PC does not have a name (or a better final product code) and call it simply ZBOX C-Series with Skylake, given that incorporates an Intel Core i5-6300U. The chip is flanked by two SODIMM memory slots for up to 16GB DDRL to 1600 MHz and a bay for a 2.5-inch storage (HDD or SSD). Interesting is the presence of a USB 3.1 Type-C, dual Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI and DisplayPort in addition to the usual modules for wireless connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 802.11ac.
ZOTAC ZBOX nano CI323
The second model of the family is called CI323 ZBOX nano and, at least in appearance, is very similar to the version with Skylake. Its hardware equipment, however, is less powerful and also the price accordingly will be lower: incorporates an Intel Celeron N3150 (Braswell), which supports up to 8GB of RAM and a USB 3.0 Type-C (and no USB 3.1). Another difference is found in the video outputs: In addition to HDMI and DisplayPort, Zotac ZBOX nano CI323 also integrates a VGA port. It will be available in both barebones in “Plus” version with 4GB of RAM and 120GB SSD
