Through a leak on the web, have unveiled the next generation of mini PCs Intel NUC (Next Unit of Computing) that come from the end of this year and during 2017. In addition to the characteristics thereof, it has been leaked the roadmap that shows release dates provided by Intel.
This leak has revealed that the line of Intel NUC higher range will be based on the seventh generation of Core processors, codenamed “Baby Canyon” and will be released to the market with the name Intel NUC7 Series with at least five models available start. Their version of lower consumption and therefore lower performance “Arches Canyon” will be called and hit the market with the name NUC6C Series, which will arrive at least two models.
The series will feature NUC7 processors manufactured with 14 nanometer lithography Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 “Kabyt Lake”, all dual core with support for DDR4 RAM in dual channel SO-DIMM format. Also incorporated a single USB connector 3.1 Type-C, and a 3 and a DisplayPort Thunderbolt 1.2. But do not worry because Intel does not ignore the Type-A connectors: in the front there will be a USB 3.1 and USB 3.0, with two more of these in the back completing connectivity (also clear the RJ-45 mandatory, and HDMI).
Meanwhile, the low-power NUC6C series is more focused on earlier generations and yes that integrates an analog video output VGA (D-Sub), plus HDMI and a pair of USB 3.1 ports Type-A. In principle this series which will arrive later this year, followed by Intel NUC 7 Series already for next year.
