During a benchmark test conducted in April, which involved three handheld devices, logistics staff and deliveries and mobile workers have preferred the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-N1 of the other two devices market leaders involved.
For half of the participants the Toughpad FZ-N1 Panasonic has demonstrated the fastest; another 50% said they prefer to features like speed, ease of use, distance from which you can scan barcodes, design and weight, and that the barcode reader on the back of the device makes it the most ergonomic between the three.
The Health and Productivity Benchmark Test for Mobile Barcode Scanning Devices, commissioned by Panasonic Business, has been realized by Opinion Matters of independent market research. Eight mobile workers using devices to scan bar codes in the course of their daily activities were asked to compare three different hand-held tablet. During the test, the respondents had access to all three devices, and has been asked to evaluate them according to various criteria, including ease of use, weight, and speed of scanning. They also evaluated the ergonomics and the ease with which you can hold in your hand every tablet and display the barcode scanned in different conditions, such as with bright light and from various angles.
Small and incredibly light, the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-N1 has been voted as the most easy to use – an opinion shared by three quarters of the participants.
The angled rear barcode reader Panasonic device has meant that participants preferred the at the time of scanning bar codes at different heights. In all three tests, conducted on high heights, medium and low, the Panasonic tablet has passed the other two in terms of speed, as well as for the speed and ease of scanning. The angled barcode reader has also allowed respondents to read more easily on the scan result on the screen. The Panasonic product has been listed as the one with which the operation was easier: three participants were able to read the display very easily, and the other five easily. Similarly, when they were asked if it was easy or difficult to read the scanned code on the display when the device was in a horizontal or inclined position, the Panasonic tablet was unanimously chosen as the easiest to use.
