After weeks of rumors, the CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment Andrew House has confirmed in an interview with the Financial Times the existence of a new version of the Playstation 4 with higher performance hardware components compared to those found on the current console.
According to the new platform will not replace Playstation 4 but is designed to run alongside being a more expensive product and created specifically for hardcore gamers and anyone wanting to make the resolution to 4K.
Andrew House, however, wanted to make clear that the new version of Playstation 4 will not be present at E3 2016, and at the time Sony did not reveal details about the price and the debut period.
At this point we just have to wait in order to find out more details. Please note that the Pre-E3 Sony Conference will take place June 14 and, as usual, in our country will be the night when Sony will go up on stage at E3 2016. The conference can be followed live streaming, and of course you can simply connect to 3 am on the official YouTube channel or on the Playstation and Twitch Live Playstation website.
