Seagate, the brand that we know always for hard drives, has to put foot in the time of the SSD segment, consumer and enterprise. The company has a catalog different proposals and especially the business world can rely on LSI technology, famous brands that had acquired some time ago.
The latest addition to the company is the new version SSD Nytro, PCI-E units can exploit the NVMe protocol, now available with a capacity of 2 TB.
More specifically, Seagate will propose XF1440 and XM1440, the first is a NVMe SSD 2.5 “U.2 connector, the second with M.2 connection.
As with other SSD PCI-E, the performance is very high; in reading we have a transfer-rate of 2.5 GB / s with 240,000 IOPS, write from 900 to 1500 MB / s (depending on model) and 40,000 IOPS.
