Xiaomi has revealed the full specifications of I TV 70 “. The panel used is manufactured by Sharp: This is a LCD with LED Edge Ultra HD resolution, provided the local control of the backlight (local dimming) to 8 zones. As for the lower denominations (55 “and 60”), also 70 “is devoid of support for 3D sources, as well as to support the HDR technology. The panel is able to cover over 85% of the NTSC gamut. The refresh rate is set at 120Hz, with motion compensation system entrusted to MEMC (Motion Estimation Motion Compensation).
The viewing angle is set at 176 °, both horizontally, both vertically. Compared to the 60 “Ultra HD, it grows the contrast ratio stated, passing from 1,200: 1 to 4,000: 1. The improvements have also involved the reactivity of the panel: the response time is in fact dropped to 6ms, 8ms against cuts 55 “and 60”.
The processor that manages all operations has not changed (it is the same throughout the range Ultra HD Xiaomi): SoC is a Mstar 6A928, made up of a CPU Cortex-A17 quad-core processor, clocked at 1.4GHz and GPU Mali-760 MP4. The amount of installed RAM is 2GB of DDR3, while the storage space we find 8GB eMMC 5.0.
The electronics are integrated within a soundbar (the I Bar TV), which is not simply dedicated to audio playback, but also acts as a kind of set-top boxes, external, upgradeable in the future (the idea the base is the same as the One Connect Box Samsung). The connection to the TV set via the cable MiPort. On the back of the soundbar they are placed three HDMI 2.0 inputs with HDCP 2.2, a USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0, a VGA input, an AV input (via adapter), the input to the antenna and an Ethernet port. The connectivity includes Wi-Fi 802.11ac dual-band (2.4 and 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 4.1.
The audio is broadcast via two 20mm tweeters and 4 woofers 6,35cm, with a frequency response between 60Hz and 22kHz. A wireless subwoofer (I Subwoofer, woofer 16,51cm) is available as an optional accessory. It ‘also play back tracks in Dolby Digital and DTS.
The Smart TV platform is the MIUI TV based on Android Lollipop. In addition to numerous applications, is an integrated media player (I-Player) capable of playing a variety of formats, ie RM, FLV, MOV, AVI, MKV, TS, MP4, MP3, FLAC, WAV and ALAC. As for the other TV Ultra HD, it has not been neglected even care for the materials and details. The chassis is made of metal, with aluminum frames and a thickness of 12,9mm at the thinnest (38,6mm to the bottom).
TV 3 from the I 70 “is priced at $ 9,999 yuan, equivalent to about 1,400 euros. Available accessories include the aforementioned I Subwoofer, to 599 yuan, just over 80 euros, and the Bluetooth remote control with motor controls and microphone , proposed a 99 Yuan, about 14 Euros. The I Bar TV is also available separately at a cost of 999 yuan, about 140 Euro.
