Systems of small form factor are the order of the day, and if you did not know, there are even smaller formats than the known mini ITX. Silverstone has announced the launch of its new box VT01, specifically designed for mini systems STX format, with as possible minimalist aesthetic and specially designed for Intel NUC systems.
Basically, the mini format STX is having the NUC Intel systems, motherboards measuring 5 x 5 inches. The problem is that although this type plates, or even for people who have a NUC but looking somewhat better box sold, there are many solutions on the market for this format. For this reason Silverstone has now launched its new VT01 box, small in size and in black and silver to meet the needs of these users.
One of the major drawbacks that have NUC Intel systems is their cooling, thus incorporating a sink type blower low profile and portable, so little that we submit to your processor load immediately set to work to high temperatures. The VT01 Silverstone allows the installation of heatsinks for processor up to 34 mm high, which already gives us some leeway when choosing cooling solutions significantly better low profile which bears the NUC factory.
In addition, the box allows the installation of a 2.5-inch drive inside, has two USB 3.0 ports on the front (one with reversible Type-C connector) and incorporates VESA 75, allowing installation in the back of a monitor compatible with this anchor (including the hooks).
The new box Silverstone VT01 will be available from October 4 at a suggested retail price of 27.50 euros.
