Xigmatek has unveiled the fourth version of its PC box for Midgard, in this case in superwide tower can accommodate high-end hardware and large, including motherboards E-ATX format. In addition, the Xigmatek Midgard IV hit the market at a fairly attractive price, hovering around 70 euros.
The Xigmatek Midgard IV accepts, as noted above, plates E-ATX format and the above formats in size. It has two internal compartments, one for the area of the motherboard and the components mounted thereon, and one for the power supply and racks for hard disks. Counting on these racks and additional space for a device of 2.5 inches behind the motherboard, total box can accommodate up to 9 hard drives (one of which is mandatory 2.5 inches, the other 3.5 or 2.5 interchangeably inches).
As for the cooling system, Xigmatek has installed two 120mm fans in the front, one rear plus the same size. Not included but with holes for installation, there are also three spaces on the roof of the box, and if the drive bay 5.25 inch is removed you can install an additional fan on the front, or even a radiator liquid cooling to 360 mm long. Logically, ceiling installation of a radiator of these same dimensions is also supported.
Inside there is space to install graphics cards up to 450 mm in length and processor dissipating up to 170 mm high, so there will be no space problems with any hardware. The case measures 510 x 210 x 530 mm and weighs 7 kg empty, so it’s pretty biggie.
Xigmatek did not specify the date of availability of the new Midgard IV, but have commented (not confirmed) that will have a price to be around 70-80 euros, so it’s quite affordable considering everything it provides.
