In addition to HP, EVGA, Gigabyte (Aorus), Origin, MSI and Lenovo, Acer also joined the consortium of notebook manufacturers who these days have announced a refresh to their series with the new GPU Nvidia Pascal. No wonder then that even the Acer Predator 15:17 gaming notebook will be updated and equipped with graphics cards GeForce GTX 10. The Taiwanese company has, however, ruled at the time the most powerful solution (ed. GeForce GTX 1080), probably reserve it for a new car, opting for the GeForce 1060 GTX and 1070 GTX.
In addition to the graphics chip, the new Acer Predator 15 (G9-593) and 17 (G9-793) supporting HDMI 2.0 and Nvidia Surround, to give users a gaming experience across multiple screens combined. As usual, the Predator 15 will have a 15.6-inch Full HD display (1920 x 1080 pixels), while the Predator 17 will mount a 17.3-inch Full HD panel (1920 x 1080 pixels) or 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160 pixels) , both will be IPS and support the G-Sync technology, but can be connected up to 3 external monitors with G-Sync and maximum 4K resolution.
According to information provided by Acer, the gamestation will adopt the same cooling system of the models launched in 2015: Predator FrostCore allows to further improve the performance of your PC as needed. This system consists of an integrated fan in a removable module Cooler Master, exclusive of Acer, which can be inserted into the slot for optical discs of your notebook, also cool the most intense gaming sessions. The real heat dissipation is provided by special “Aeroblade” fans with thinner metal plates in the world, just 0.1 mm thick, more efficient and silent.
The protective Acer system from dust, Predator DustDefender, uses two high-speed fans with reverse rotation to remove dust, improve heat dissipation and reduce noise to a minimum. The fan blades, using an ingenious extremely high speed in the dust repulsion mechanism to improve the air flow around the high performance components. Removing dust and maintaining a cool temperature, Predator DustDefender ensures consistent performance, ensures maximum comfort and extends the life of the notebook. Finally, CoolBoost app allows individual adjustment of the air flow. The Turbo Mode, for example, offers the maximum fan speed and cooling power when the heavy use requires a further boost.
Acer Predator 15 (G9-593) and Predator 17 (G9-793) will be available from September from 1799 euro.
