At the next @ acer international press conference in New York, Acer today introduced the new Predator Helios 300 gaming notebook line. Available with 15.6 or 17.3-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display, the matte black chassis incorporates sophisticated Red accents (keyboard backlight) creating a fun and slightly biting design, but some models will have the top cover and a metal keyboard area for greater rigidity and resistance. You can watch it in the first official pictures, but shortly follow the hands-on videos shot directly at the presentation event.
The heart of the Predator Helios 300 is the overclocked Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or 1050Ti graphics card, combined with Intel Core i7-7700HQ or Core i5-7300HQ (Kaby Lake-H) processors for exceptional performance, 16 GB of DDR4 memory (expandable to 32 GB) and a fast SSD SATA and a 1TB HDD. An access bay on the bottom of the notebook makes it easy to upgrade memory and storage. Such hardware equipment however needs an efficient aeration system, and Acer has developed Aeroblade 3D, with dual-ultrasonic metal bladed fans, to keep the notebook running at optimum temperatures. Preloaded PredatorSense software provides real-time information about the system and overclocking so players can monitor and control vital system elements from a single central interface.
The Acer Predator Helios 300 also comes with a USB 3.1 Type-C port, a USB 3.0 (charging off powered devices), two USB 2.0 ports, and an HDMI 2.0 connection. It connects wirelessly via WiFi 802.11ac 2×2 technology and also comes with a Gigabit Ethernet port for those who prefer wired connections. Windows 10 is obviously on board, while Skype for Business certification ensures clear and timely conversations, while providing a great deal of experience with Cortana.
