Lately Acer has not stopped strengthening its catalog of game-oriented monitors with new additions, and a clear example is the new Acer Z35P just announced. It is an ultra-curved 35 “widescreen monitor that stands out for its refresh rate up to 120 Hz which is compatible with NVIDIA’s G-Sync technology, which we’ll talk about today.
The Acer Z35P mounts a 35-inch AMVA (Advanced Multi-domain Vertical Alignment) panel that has 3440 x 1440 resolution, making it ultra-widescreen with a 21: 9 aspect ratio. It incorporates a rather pronounced curvature, 2800R (compared to the usual 1800R in this kind of monitors) to create a greater immersion sensation in games and movies (remember that this type of monitors with 21: 9 aspect ratio are ideal for films recorded in American format, since the horizontal black bands will be removed and we will see the image on the whole screen).
But certainly the most interesting feature is its frequency of operation. The panel used, manufactured by AU-Optronics, has a normal refresh rate of 100 Hz, but Acer has applied a bit of Overclock to the panel to offer a frequency up to 120 Hz. In fact, since it is compatible with technology G-Sync from NVIDIA, is capable of operating in a frequency range of 30 to 120 Hz, making it ideal for all types of Gaming equipment with compatible NVIDIA graphics. By the way, your typical response time is 4 ms GtG.
As for the other features, it should be noted that the Acer Z35P offers 8-bit color depth, with a static contrast ratio of 2500 to 1, maximum brightness of 250 cd / m2, 178-degree viewing angles, and count With Flicker Free technology and Ultra Low Motion Blur. It incorporates a pair of stereo speakers of 9 Watts with technology Acer True Harmony, and as far as its connectivity counts on DisplayPort 1.2 (for G-Sync), HDMI 1.4 and a hub of four ports USB 3.0. It also incorporates a base that allows to move the panel in height and to tilt it, but not to turn it. It nevertheless has VESA anchorage 100 × 100 in case we want to use an arm for monitors.
The Acer Z35P will initially be available in the US at a price of $ 1100, and is expected to arrive in Europe next month at a price that will be around 1100 euros.
