ASUS has updated its range of multimedia notebooks, launching surprise models ASUS N552 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch ASUS N752. According to the official pictures circulated, the two laptops are (at least aesthetically) identical to the previous ASUS ASUS N751 and N551: we find in fact a chassis with very elegant display lid and keyboard tray lined with aluminum, speakers based on the usual effect “wave “ultraslim thick and cover with metallic finish and concentric circles in style” Zen “in two colors. The keyboard is backlit and still robust, with good key travel (1.8 mm) for proper and fast typing.
What does change, however, it is their equipment hardware: ASUS ASUS N552 and N752 have been updated and every component has been chosen to provide the best performance in the category. Respectively based on a TN or IPS display 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch, HD resolutions (1366 x 768 pixels), full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels), up to 4K / UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels, 282 PPI) and technology ASUS Splendid, both notebooks come with Intel processors Skylake (quad-core Intel Core or Intel Core i7-6700HQ i5-6300HQ) and Nvidia GeForce GTX 950M or GeForce GTX 960m. To achieve maximum responsiveness, ASUS N552 and N752 are provided maximum 16GB DDR4 RAM and up to 512GB of SSD drives with connectors PCIe 3.0 x4 or 2TB of traditional hard drive.
On board, not without an impressive sound system Bang & Olufsen (remember that the N-Series is dedicated to multimedia activities) with ASUS SonicMaster technology and ICEpower for brighter sound and powerful. As for the connectivity, however, ASUS N552 and N752 are equipped with 3 USB 3.0 ports, with the addition of the new USB 3.1 Type-C (Gen 2), HDMI, Displayport, VGA, and SD card reader, in addition to 802.11ac WiFi module, Bluetooth 4.0 and Ethernet. There is also the DVD burner or Blu-Ray.
ASUS has not yet announced pricing and availability of the new N-Series multimedia notebook, neither the US nor Europe, but we will be back in the next few days, perhaps to give the first information for the Italian market. Stay tuned.
