Less than 24 hours from the official debut of the Radeon RX 480, ASUS does not waste time, and unveils the ROG official website the imminent arrival of his first custom variant, the RX 480 Strix. The new AMD card has more or less confirmed the expectations, however, in its reference version we can not expect miracles as regards the performance and the noise level of the original heat sink.
The Taiwanese manufacturer has not unbalanced that much, we know that ASUS ROG Strix RX 480 comes with a factory overclock and probably with a modified PCB, the power we expect a dual PCI-E 6 pin connector.
The only available image shows us finally sink triple fan DirectCU III, with backplate and metal top. The card then comes with AURA RGB LED backlight, while the other features do not change and provide 8 gigabytes of GDDR5 memory with 256-bit bus.
We expect more details from the manufacturer, for sure this variant of the RX 480 will cost no less than 400 euros.
