BenQ is set to launch the projector W1090. The technology used is DLP chip with a DarkChip 3 to Full HD resolution. The 210 W lamp offers a brightness of 2,000 lumens and is a six-segment color wheel (RGBRGB). The lamp life is between 3,000 and 6,500 hours of operation.
The contrast ratio stated is 10,000: 1. As we regard the optics have a shooting ratio comprised between 1.15 and 1.5: 1, and a 1.3x zoom lens (manual). The operating noise is between 32 and 36dB (depending on the operating mode) and you can also use the 3D video sources. It comes complete with one mono speaker 10W.
W1090 provides a VGA input (combined with a component input), two HDMI inputs (one compatible with MHL 2.0), a composite input, an input and an audio output of 3.5 mm jack, stereo audio input RCA, USB type a, mini-B, and an RS-232 port.
The list price is set at 699 Euros. Availability is scheduled for October.
