The projector BenQ W8000 is almost ready to debut on the market. This model, announced at ISE 2016, use a 3-chip DLP DarkChip with full HD resolution. There is talk of a contrast ratio of 50,000: 1 and a brightness of 2,000 lumens. Image processing is entrusted to the processor Cinema Master Video + and is also present also the motion compensation. The equipment includes the horizontal and vertical lens shift (allowing the image shifting without moving the projector: the hike is 130-155% vertical and 5% horizontal), a 280W lamp with a rated life of 2,500 and 6000 hours (depending on the usage mode) and a six-segment color wheel (RGBRGB).
W8000 is compatible with 3D video sources (via DLP Link) and also lets you use the HDMI wireless connections via an optional module. The noise level during operation, is between 28 and 31dB, and you can also perform a ISF calibration. Connectivity includes two HDMI 1.4 inputs (one compatible with MHL), a VGA input, one component input, one composite input and an audio output of 3.5 mm jack, a RS-232 port, a USB port and a mini-USB.
