Among the changes that we will see at IFA 2016 in Berlin there will be the projector Epson EH-TW6800. This model is in addition to previously announced EH-TW7300, EH-TW9300 and EH-TW9300W. Like the other models mentioned above, even TW6800 uses 3LCD technology. The resolution is full HD with a brightness of 2,700 lumens. They will instead present the technology 4K Enhancement (simulates a 4K resolution) and to HDR support.
The projector is equipped with super-resolution processing to improve the level of detail. The automatic iris (which closes or opens in relation to the video content, in order to improve the perceived contrast ratio) allows to obtain a dynamic contrast ratio of 120,000: 1. The specific report a 1.6x zoom, lens shift (move the image along the vertical and horizontal axes) Manual (horizontal: ± 60%; vertical: ± 24%) and a UHP lamp credited with a duration of about 5,000 hours in Eco mode (thus low-power).
Other features include interpolation frame, support for 3D video sources through active glasses, and HDMI 1.4a inputs, component, composite, VGA and a USB port. Availability expected later at IFA with a price tentatively set at 1,899 euros.
