It is not official yet, but it all makes us think that the new HP Chromebook 11 G4 is close to launch. The information and technical data, although not yet confirmed, are almost all online and we describe a Chromebook very similar to the previous model (G3) in design but with some improvements in the equipment hardware. For all we know, in fact, the new Chromebook 11 HP will keep the plastic chassis, but will have a 4G-LTE modem and a matte screen 11.6-inch HD (1366 x 768 pixels) IPS, both optionally.

The platform is still based on an Intel Celeron N2840 dual-core 2.16GHz (Turbo Boost up to 2.58GB), with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM and 4GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM, of which at least 5GB will go operating system. As usual then, for all products with Chrome OS, Google offers 100GB of free space on Google Drive for two years. The rest of the facilities include a USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0, one HDMI, a 720p webcam and an SD card reader. In addition to modules Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 802.11n, HP Chromebook 11 G4 will be available in versions 3G and 4G-LTE, the latter of course equipped with a SIM card slot. The battery has a capacity of 3400 mAh and 36W, but for now we do not know the estimated range.
Weight and thickness remain unchanged, with 1.28Kg and 20:45 mm. Nothing short of revolutionary, especially considering the recent convertible models like the Acer Chromebook C738T. According to early rumors, the new Chromebook HP 11-inch will be available in the US market by the end of July at a price of $ 219, but versions with more RAM, storage and LTE modem will cost tens of dollars more.
