HP Elitebook 820 840 and 850 G3 Skylake

Earlier this year, HP introduced a new series of professional notebooks Elitebook 705 G3 with the latest AMD APU, but left by Intel Skylake. It was clear that something was brewing and the CES 2016 gave confirmation. HP launched the new generation of laptops for business, Elitebook 800 Series: Elitebook 820 G3 12.5-inch EliteBook 840 G3 14-inch and 15.6-inch EliteBook 850 G3. The models all have roughly the same technical specifications, including some options such as B & O speakers, a better keyboard, 1.5 mm, fingerprint reader, TPM 1.2 / 2.0.2, smart card reader and MIL-STD-810G4 to resist Shock, shock and twisting.

In essence, HP Elitebook 820 G3 has a display of 12.5 inch HD or Full HD (and only in this case optionally touch), Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 (Skyalke) with graphics Intel HD Graphics 520. The largest model is HP Elitebook 840 G3 which has a 14-inch screen HD or Full HD or 2K QHD, Intel Core i5 / i7 (Skylake) with graphics Intel HD Graphics 520. At the top of the family are the Elitebook 850 G3 that has a 15.6-inch HD or Full HD or 4K UHD (the latter two optionally touch), the Intel Core i5 / i7 (Skyalke) graphics with Intel HD Graphics 520 or Radeon R7 M365X.

All models feature a chassis made of aluminum and magnesium, which reduces the overall weight of the notebook (ranging from 1.5 kg to 1.9 kg), but at the same time gives strength and durability. Despite the different dimensions, the three Elitebook 800 share the same interfaces: one VGA, one RJ-45, USB 3.0, a USB Type-C, DisplayPort, audio jack, connector for the docking station (also compatible with other HP business notebooks) , SD card reader and microSD. The touchpad is large and is recognizable for its four physical buttons, the numeric keypad is only nell’Elitebook 850 and the trackpoint is located in the center of the keyboard, which among other things also offers some multi-function buttons.
