Kingston has announced the launch of its new series of SSD UV400. They come in 4 models differentiated by their capacities from 120 GB base model up to 960 GB of the larger model, with models of 240 GB and 480 GB capacity between them.
Speed also varies depending on the capacity: as to sequential read, all offer 550 MB / s less than 960 GB down to 540 MB / s. Writing the same type also varies, with 350 MB / s for the 120GB model, 490MB / s for 240GB and 500MB / s for models 480 and 960 GB capacity.
As for random access, all have 90,000 IOPS read, but writing there are significant variations: the 120GB model gets only 15,000 IOPS, the 240GB up to 25,000 IOPS, the 480 GB it is at 35,000 IOPS and 960GB increases its speed of up to 50,000 IOPS.

All Kingston UV400 TLC NAND uses a Marvell 88SS1074 controller and SATA 6 Gbps interface 2.5-inch format.
The 120GB model stays at 45 Euros, the 240 GB costs about 70 Euros, the 480 GB increases to 130 Euros and 960 GB is not yet available in Spain.
