Tonight (Italian time), was held on Lenovo Tech World Beijing, the first Chinese company’s global technology conference, where the upper reaches of the company presented the vision and strategies for the future. To celebrate the event, Lenovo has also announced two new families of entry-level notebook: Lenovo Z41 / Z51 and Lenovo IdeaPad 100 14/15, each made up of models 14 and 15 inches. In this article we will cover just in this last series.
Laptops Lenovo IdeaPad 100 15:14 am low-end models, and economic and with a technical essential, especially aimed at those who have set aside a small budget and looking for a platform for work and recreation complete. In short, they are notebooks that you can use for multimedia activities (listening to music, watch a film or photos, surf the Internet), but also productive (writing and calculation sheets of text). They have a starting price of just $ 249, and it is very little considering their size.
Despite the features (340 x 237.8 x 20.2 mm in 1.9Kg for 14 inches and 378 x 265 x 22.6 mm in 2.3 Kg to 15 inches), however, the IdeaPad 100 hide equipment from ultra low-cost, or if Chromebook favorite. They have a (up to) Intel Pentium N3540 quad-core 2.1GHz (Bay Trail), with 8GB of RAM and up to 500GB of hard disk storage tradition or 128GB of SSD. The basic versions, therefore, have less powerful processors but always Bay Trail, RAM and storage less capacious than those mentioned.
The kit includes a USB 3.0 interface, a USB 2.0 port, an HDMI port, a card reader and a RJ-45, in addition to the modules WiFi 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.0. They will both supplied by a battery 30 Wh (for a range of just 4 hours, too bad!) And of course Windows 8.1, upgradeable to Windows 10.
The only differences, as you might have figured out, are in the diagonal of the display: 100 Lenovo IdeaPad 14 has a 14-inch screen, while IdeaPad 100 has a panel 15 by 15 inches, both with HD resolution (1366 x 768 pixels) and probably TN type. At the moment we have no information on their arrival in Italy, but most will see them live at Computex 2015 in Taipei.
