Although it was expected at IFA 2016, Lenovo Miix 710 was presented by the Chinese only recently and without any special announcements. His name says it all: it is the updated version of Miix 700, with which it shares the design, but not the technical board based on Intel processors Kaby Lake-Y, ie m3-7Y30 Intel Core, Intel Core i5-7Y54, and Intel Core i7-7Y75, 12-inch display with resolution 2160 x 1440 pixels and Windows 10 operating system.
Lenovo Miix 710
Lenovo Miix 710 is not yet available in stores, but already seem to be the first clues about his successor. Lenovo Miix 720 (710-12IKB model) has been certified by an Indonesian institution at the end of September and should be a version of “enhanced” the Miix 710. According to reports Roland Quandt, in fact, Miix 720 should complement Intel Kaby Lake-U processors such as the Intel Core i3-7100U chip, Intel Core i5-7200U and Core i7-7500U Intel, with 4-8GB RAM and various SSD storage drive solutions 128GB, 256GB and 512GB expandable further with a card slot microSD up to 128GB. The screen should maintain the same diagonal and resolution of the previous model, so a 12-inch display (2160 x 1440 pixels, 400 nits) with aspect ratio 3: 2 and coating Gorilla Glass, able to support a Wacom pen (optional) to 2048 levels of pressure. The operating system will once Windows 10 again.
At the moment it is difficult to determine whether the Lenovo Miix 720 will keep the same design and concept of Miix 710, but the transition from Kaby Lake Y-low-voltage processors (4.5W TDP) to Kaby Lake-U (15W TDP), should at least suggest the presence of an active cooling system (with fan), and then thicknesses and slightly more weight. We will definitely return in the coming months
