We know that one of the most imitated devices is the Microsoft Surface Pro, but some companies are also drawn to the Surface Book, that for premium hybrid notebook with a particularly flexible and updated just recently zip with a more powerful version Performance Base. One example is the model Wave oBook 11 Pro, launched a few months ago but not yet available on the market, which has won all of its close resemblance to the Microsoft laptop. But it is not alone.

During the Global Sources Electronics Fair 2016, we came across a “new” device although Poyer MOMO11W Plus has little original. Taking a look at our hands-on video and photos taken at the company’s booth, MOMOW11 Plus is a clone of the Surface Book least aesthetically: we find a rather robust aluminum frame, a keyboard attached to the display with a swivel hinge and sizes very compact (288 x 181 x 9.3 mm), even more original. A change is only the hardware equipment.

Poyer MOMO11W Plus, it integrates a quad-core Intel Atom x5-x5-Atom Z8300 or Z8350 processor (Cherry Trail) to 1.83GHz in Turbo Mode, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of solid state drive storage, even if the ‘ Chinese company will also make available a configuration with 4 / 64GB, while the 11.6-inch IPS screen (16: 9) has a Full HD resolution (1920 x 1200 pixels). The rest of the data sheet includes a 2 megapixel webcam, WiFi 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI, microUSB, USB Type-C, two full-size USB, a microSD card reader, audio jacks and a 8000 mAh battery that should provide a range of at least 6-7 hours. The operating system is Windows 10, but the device also supports a dual-OS configuration.

These specifications are typical for a hybrid 2-in-1 medium-low, far removed from the Microsoft notebook that instead has a 13.5-inch display (3000 x 2000 pixels, in 3: 2), Intel Core i5 processors / i7 (Skylake), 8GB or 16GB of RAM and a dedicated graphics card Nvidia in the keyboard part.
Ployer has not yet announced pricing and launch date, but something tells us that MOMO11W Plus will cost less than half the price of the notebook to which you are inspired. We will be back in the coming weeks, perhaps on the occasion of the first pre-sales online.
