AMD could give another “shock” to Nvidia, and after the very competitive price of the Radeon RX 480 is preparing to launch an equally aggressive younger sister, Radeon RX 470. We have already seen in recent days that the RX 470 will use Polaris 10 , obviously underpowered compared to the RX 480.
Current information tell us that the GPU would have 2048 stream processors (compared to the 2308 RX 480), 32 Compute Units and 8.4 gigabytes of GDDR5 memory with 256-bit bus. At the moment there are no details on the frequency of the GPU (think of at least 1200 MHz), while the memory may operate at 7 GHz, offering a bandwidth of 224 GB / s. Another interesting fact is the TDP, not higher than 110 Watt.
The Radeon RX 470 will likely be faster than current Radeon R9 380X, all with a price of $ 149 for the 4GB version and $ 179 for the 8GB.
