We’ve often get their hands on “bizarre” devices, in the forms and functions, and Sunty SP-001 is no exception. We have known this special Mini PC, which at first glance appears to be the intersection of a Pipo x3 and F1 Gorges, last April during a Chinese trade fair and – intrigued by its design and its technical characteristics – we studied close.
Essentially, Sunty SP-001 is identical to other Mini PC on the market: it has an Intel Atom x5-Z8300 from 1.44GHz, 2GB of DDR3L RAM, internal memory expandable with a 32GB of eMMC microSD card slot, WiFi 802.11ac Windows 10 and 32-bit. But unlike any other model, this device also integrates a 6500 mAh battery, a 7-inch capacitive touch display with HD resolution (1280 x 800 pixels) at the top, and a pico-projector TI DMD (DLPC3438, DLPA3000, DLP3010) 0.3 “and 720p on the side, which allows you to play back an image from 20 to 300 inches on any wall or vertical support. Do not expect high visual quality (especially from 40” and up), but with its 200 lumens of brightness, 5000: 1 contrast, autofocus and 3,000 hours of life, Sunty SP-001 should be suitable to the living room or the meeting room at office. Turning to interfaces, we find a full-size USB 3.0 port and an HDMI 1.4, in addition to the 3.5 mm audio jack. Do not miss the dual-band 802.11n WiFi module.
Like other Mini PC, so even Sunty SP-001 can stream digital content on the home TV and transform their workplace into a multimedia center, but due to the touch display can also be used as a tablet (the button power and volume rocker are located on the frame), while on the move as the integrated battery lasts for at least 2 hours of operation. We do not know the exact size, but we can assure you that it is a “box” very compact and lightweight. Sunty SP-001 is not yet available for sale on the market, but will be soon at a price of about 400-450 dollars.
