The second generation of the Volkswagen Crafter has made an appearance, which in this case and unlike the first, is a development entirely by Volkswagen whose production at the plant of the group located in Wrzesnia (Poland) in which employ 3,000 people directly. And it comes with a wide range of mechanical and body styles: three lengths, three heights and front wheel drive, rear and full propulsion, in addition to automatic or manual.
The only block which makes appearance is the 2.0 TDI four-cylinder engine that meets the Euro 6 legislation properly and will be available with power outputs of 102, 122, 140 and 177 hp. In the case of the variant of 177 hp, uses the double supercharging to achieve such power.

A striking aspect of the Crafter 2017 is its low drag coefficient: 0.33, which stands as the large commercial vehicle currently lower production size, which also contribute to better eficiencia3. The aesthetics of the front is very similar to the ones present on the current VW model range, meeting all the bottom of it, including the bumpers, surrounded by plastic to protect your body protection.

It also boasts an injection of safety technologies such as ESP with trailer stabilization, active LED lights, cross traffic alert, assistant crosswind, front, head and side airbags, braking system post-collision … some of those elements part of its standard equipment and others are optional.
Public presentation will take place at the IAA Hannover 2016, although the first units will not reach dealers until the end of the year.
