A few months away from the success achieved during the fundraiser on Kickstarter, it comes on the market the Z Room E1, defined the smallest Micro Four Thirds camera that can shoot video at 4K resolution. The measures are 75.2 x 56.1 x 27.5 mm, with a weight of 209 grams (a perfect product for use with the drones, therefore). The goal is interchangeable: the time is announced compatibility with optical Olympus, Panasonic, Leica and Sigma, both autofocus, both manuals.
The sensor is 16 megapixels is a Panasonic MN34230 CMOS, what we also find on the Olympus OM-D E-M1. The sensitivity extends up to ISO 102,400. Significant video capabilities: E1 can shoot 4K resolution (4096 x 2160 pixels) at 24 frames per second, Ultra HD resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) at 30 frames, in Full HD at 60 or 30 frames (in the latter If it is possible to exploit the maximum sensitivity), or 720p in slow motion (up to 240 frames).
Connectivity includes Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi, allowing, thus, control remotely via a smartphone. On the back it is placed a LCD 2.5 “, with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Inside the machine body, made of magnesium, is inserted a battery from 2,000 mAh, able to guarantee a 45-minute shooting 4K (with Wi-Fi, up to 80 minutes without wireless connection). Photos and videos are stored on microSD memory (up to 128GB).
